This project aligns with the broader Tahoma to Tacoma vision, which aims to create over 21 miles of interconnected trails. Phase 2 is in the design and permitting stage, with expected completion by mid-2026. The initiative not only promotes recreation but also emphasizes equity in access to greenspace for all families. Pierce County Parks will temporarily close part of Orangegate Park for forest health operations this summer.
