The Community Preservation Fund was established following the passage of the Community Preservation Act in November 2016, funded by a 1 percent property tax surcharge. Since 2018, the CPA Committee has recommended 397 projects, awarding over $230 million in funding. This year's funding includes seven affordable housing projects, 27 historic preservation projects, and 18 open space and recreation projects.
