Our Path Home's 2025 Point-in-Time Count indicated a two percent decrease in homelessness in Ada County, with 772 individuals experiencing homelessness on January 19, 2025. This annual survey helps track homelessness trends and informs local housing programs and services. The Housing Inventory Count revealed a substantial increase in rapid rehousing beds, from 109 last year to 161 this year, largely due to CATCH’s Taking Root program. This growth stems from several years of increased federal funding and community support, including more than $700,000 from the Campaign to End Family Homelessness. CATCH Executive Director Stephanie Day highlighted the significance of these investments in addressing family homelessness in the area. The increase in beds for families fleeing domestic violence also contributed to the overall rise in housing availability. Our Path Home's efforts reflect a collaborative approach among over 40 agencies in the region. The results underscore the need for sustained community engagement and funding to continue progress in reducing homelessness.
