Parks and Recreation Announces Leslie Brinson as Recreation Services Division Director

Bloomington Parks and Recreation has appointed Leslie Brinson as the new Recreation Services Division Director, effective August 18. Brinson brings over 20 years of leadership experience in recreation programming and event planning, focusing on community engagement. She will oversee significant programs such as Kid City camps and the Farmers’ Market, aiming to expand opportunities for residents. Tim Street, the Parks and Recreation Department Director, praised her leadership and innovative approach. Brinson has held various roles in the department since 2017, including Community Events Manager. Her responsibilities will involve ensuring the consistent delivery of core programs at high quality. The Parks and Recreation Department is committed to fostering community connections through these initiatives.
